What Does Mutual of Omaha Plan F Cover?

Mutual of Omaha Medicare supplement Plan F is one of the most comprehensive Medigap plans available.

It covers Medicare Part A coinsurance and hospital costs up to an additional 365 days after Medicare benefits are exhausted, Part B coinsurance or copayments, the first three pints of blood, Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments, skilled nursing facility care coinsurance, Part A and Part B deductibles, Part B excess charges and foreign travel emergency care up to plan limits.

Due to a recent federal law, Plan Fis only available to beneficiaries who were eligible for Medicare before January l, 2020.

Who Is Eligible for Plan F?

To be eligible for Mutual of Omaha Plan F, you must be enrolled in both Medicare Part A and Part B. However, Plan F is only available to individuals who were eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020. If you became eligible for Medicare on or after that date, you will not be able to purchase Plan F.

Those already enrolled in Plan F can keep their coverage, but new enrollments are restricted to those who qualify under the pre-2020 eligibility rules.

What Is Not Covered by Mutual of Omaha Medicare Supplement Plan F

While Plan F covers a wide range of healthcare costs, it does not include coverage for long-term care, vision or dental care, hearing aids, eyeglasses, or private-duty nursing.

Additionally, prescription drug coverage is not included in Plan F, so beneficiaries will need a separate Medicare Part D plan to cover medication costs.
